The Flanagan Jazz program has also made enormous strides in addition to their accomplishments up to this day. The Concert Jazz band has received 5 plaques signifying straight superiors at state competition and is aiming to continue the tradition. The Jazz Combo’s forte is in its versatility. They can be seen playing anywhere from the concert hall to the local Starbucks, skillfully delivering enjoyable music to the community.
Jazz Band Achievements
| The Flanagan Concert Jazz Band is an extra curricular class which runs from October to May and rehearses just one day a week! The Jazz Band is made up of approximately 40 students and there is no audition to be a member. For the past five years, the CJB has earned Superior Ratings at all Florida Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessments, to include Five consecutive years of Straight Superiors at State. The CJB has been featured at local events and is available for private functions. |
