EARNING MONEY TO OFFSET BAND/GUARD FEES AND EXPENSES

| The opportunities that are presented to our students through the Falcon Sound are dependent upon raising significant funds and resources beyond what is provided by the School District. These funds must be raised through student fees and fundraising. Individual student fees can be substantially reduced through parental and student involvement in fundraising activities.
Our fundraising efforts are led by parents and supporters through our booster organization, Falcon Sound Alliance, Inc.
Parents and students can participate in the following events to help raise necessary funds for their Falcon Sound Alliance account. |

The Scrip program is where parents purchase gift cards from the Band in advance that can be used like cash. Scrip can be purchased for a whole list of stores/service providers (groceries, gas, Starbucks, Borders, etc.) through the Great Lakes Scrip company. A percentage of the cost for these cards is rebated back to the student's Individual Student Account (FSA).

Candy Sales |
| August -June |
| Candy sells for $1 each and student will receive 50% to his/her own account. The initial cost of the box will be entered on the student account. When the money is returned, it will be credited to the student's account.

Candy distribution will be done after practices.
Return money in the form of a check or money order for all sales. Place in an envelope along with name of student and the box ID # assigned. NO CASH accepted!! |

| The Falcon Sound hosts a marching band festival in October called the Falcon Sound Invitational for many local and visiting schools. The Contest programs are usually kept long after the event since they are generally informative and also used to record results for the competition. Students can sell ads to help earn money for their accounts. Details coming soon. |

Raffle Tickets |

The Falcon Sound is raffling a 3 night cruise to the Bahamas. The cruise is a $500 value. Each ticket is $5. Tickets are checked out in books of 10. This is an easy way to raise money. All proceeds go to the student. The drawing will
take place during the Invitational on October 1st. Mrs. Morales and Mrs. Scrima will check out books and collect money after each band camp and rehearsal. |
